Dental Anxiety and Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Posted .

Dental anxiety is real. But, you don’t have to deal with it alone. We have solutions to help you. One of the many solutions is nitrous oxide, also called the laughing gas or happy gas.

Used in both adults and children, laughing gas is easy to administer. It dramatically reduces anxiety and leaves your system quickly with no post-operative effects.

Here are some things to note:

– Don’t eat anything two hours before the appointment to avoid feeling nauseous.
– It helps reduce pain and anxiety during dental procedures.
– It’s a small nose piece that will sit on top of the nose.
– You will be awake but feel floaty and calm.
– You will usually recover quickly from the effects of nitrous oxide.
– We will monitor you after and make sure you feel well before you are discharged.
